There are few animals that look more completely at home in Florida than an American Alligator. Armored body, enormous tail, low-slung profile, and absolutely no need to impress anybody. This composition leans into that ancient, unbothered presence. Built equally well for water and land, the alligator feels less like a visitor to Florida's swamps and marshes and more like something the rest of us moved in around.
