Bald Eagles do not have to be flying with their talons out to look powerful. Sometimes sitting quietly does the job. Here, the eagle rests on a weathered snag with its head lowered, bringing all the attention to the layered dark feathers, white crown, yellow feet, and unmistakable hooked bill. It feels like a Florida eagle to me: close to water, watching everything, and in absolutely no hurry.

This 17×22 Signature Proof pairs an 11×14 rendering of the original Field Guide study with the complete species entry, presented together as a limited collector edition of only 10, hand signed and numbered by the artist.

The Signature Proof is the only format in which the complete written Florida Field Guide species entry is reproduced alongside the artwork.

Each Signature Proof is printed on bright white River Linen, a 230 gsm archival art paper with a finely embossed linen surface that adds texture without obscuring detail. Its microporous matte coating produces bright color, deep blacks, and a very slight sheen when printed, giving the finished piece a refined surface that complements both the artwork and natural-history text. Made from pure alpha cellulose, the paper is acid- and lignin-free for long-term presentation.

Each proof is hand signed and individually numbered from an edition of 10, then paired with acid-free support and enclosed in a crystal-clear, archival-safe protective sleeve. The protective closure keeps adhesive away from the artwork while shielding the print during storage and handling. Signature Proofs are sold unframed.

A Certificate of Authenticity identifying the work and edition accompanies each Signature Proof.
